Comment / Quality Level

Elbit XLSH tubes represent the entry-level Gen 3 class:

they provide stable performance and sufficient FOM for typical tasks;
they have slightly higher noise compared with XLS / PH / YH, but still produce a clear and usable image;
they perform well during movement, navigation, technical operation, and general observation;
they are not highly sensitive to lighting conditions and maintain broad utility.

The ATN PVS-31 housing makes the system lightweight, ergonomic, and suitable for prolonged use thanks to its compact size and classic PVS-31-style handling.

Suitable For

UAV operators who need basic Gen 3 performance and minimal system weight.
Patrol and security units working primarily in standard night-time lighting conditions.
Observers and mobile teams requiring lightweight, low-maintenance optics.
Civilian users upgrading from Gen 2 or digital night-vision devices to real Gen 3.
Volunteer procurement projects where price-to-performance balance is essential.
