ITT Industries (now Elbit Systems of America - Night Vision) is a legendary name in the history of defense technology, a company that virtually defined modern standards for night vision devices. ITT was the first major manufacturer to develop and mass-produce Generation 3 (Gen 3) technology, which remains the "gold standard" for military and professional operators worldwide today.
Over decades of operation, the ITT Night Vision division created iconic devices such as the AN/PVS-14 monocular and supplied hundreds of thousands of personnel with the most reliable image intensifier tubes (IIT). Following a series of transformations (spinning off into Exelis, acquisition by Harris Corporation, and the merger into L3Harris), this business was acquired by Elbit Systems. Today, they continue to produce those same legendary tubes under a new brand, maintaining unsurpassed American quality and reliability.
